Hit the Beach: Drive from Diamond Head to Dunbogan for Stunning Views
If you’ve a 4WD and the desire to drive on the beach, then driving from Diamond Head to Dunbogan will reward you with some great views and the opportunity to feel like you have an entire coastal area all to yourself. Packing a sunshade, some cool drinks and appropriate other equipment (fishing rods a must) sets the scene for a great day out.

Ensure you are prepared, understand the risks and take appropriate caution – check out the tides, carry recovery boards and use correct tyre pressure for a stress-free day out. Beach driving is a great adventure, best shared with at least one other vehicle if you’re not so confident.

Now, if that’s not your thing, your options are still not limited. Grants Beach and Pilot Beach are very accessible options. The south of Pilots Beach offers some great areas to simply walk and admire a rocky beach area, while the North section of Grants beach can favour the adventurous with an undercliff walk or simply a spot to lie on, on a deserted beach.
Whatever you choose to do, the Camden Haven area will prove to be a great spot for you to simply drive around and admire some of the best coastal scenery the area has to offer.
