The Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce is proudly supported by a dedicated Executive Committee of local volunteers. Each member brings valuable experience and insight, reflecting the diverse nature of our business and community landscape. Under the leadership of President Luke Hadfield, the Committee works collaboratively to strengthen local business, support community initiatives, and advocate for the Camden Haven region.

Chan Ansell

Chan is the Client Account Manager – Advertising for News Of The Area, working across the Camden Haven and Port Macquarie editions. She is deeply passionate about supporting local businesses and helping them grow through affordable, effective advertising that keeps the community connected.

A strong believer in shopping local and backing the businesses that support the region, Chan thrives on building genuine, one on one relationships with business owners. She enjoys creating opportunities that not only promote individual services but also contribute to the strength and vitality of the wider Camden Haven community.

For Chan, being part of the Chamber reflects her belief that collaboration and connection are what help the region prosper. She is always open to a conversation about how she can help support, promote or connect local businesses.

Chrissy Bean

Chrissy Bean is the co-owner of Pomegranate Clothing, a family-run boutique in Laurieton that she has proudly operated for more than 12 years alongside her husband Leon. With a genuine passion for helping women feel confident and comfortable, Chrissy carefully sources quality, affordable fashion in inclusive sizing, ensuring every customer feels seen and supported.

Deeply connected to the local community, she values personal service and has created a warm, welcoming space where customers can shop with ease and confidence. Outside the boutique, Chrissy is a devoted mother of seven and grandmother of four. She enjoys travelling, spending time with family, and supporting local initiatives that strengthen the Camden Haven community.

Rachael Thorpe

Rachael is a passionate community advocate who moved to Dunbogan 15 months ago from Canberra. A 54 year old mother of three adult children, she balances part time administration work for a solar and electrical business with writing for News Of The Area and active involvement in disability and accessibility advocacy.

She is committed to seeing the Camden Haven become as accessible and inclusive as possible, with a vision for the region to lead the Mid North Coast in these areas. Rachael brings thoughtfulness and lived experience to her advocacy, always looking for practical ways to improve connection and participation for everyone in the community.

Outside of work and volunteering, her interests include genetic genealogy, travel, musicals and live comedy, pursuits that reflect her curiosity, creativity and love of people and stories.
