Introducing The Camden Haven Excellence Awards for Business

The Camden Haven Excellence Awards for Business are based on three pillars; Excellence, Innovation and Community.

To best prepare for entry (there are only three questions), here are the details of the three pillars.

 

Excellence

As we have already touched on, Excellence can be defined and explained in many ways.

Here are eight examples to assist you with defining Excellence

 

 

 

Innovation

Innovation means coming up with new ways to do things. You can change processes or create more effective products and ideas.

Innovation can help you save time and money.

It’s also key to your business developing a competitive advantage and creating a culture of innovative thinking and problem solving.

 

Community

Commitment to connection, collaboration and community…plain and simple.

Community involvement is the power to bring positive, measurable change to both the communities in which you operate and to your business.

Community examples include in-kind and financial donations, employee volunteer days, skills-based volunteering programs, enduring non-profit partnerships, volunteering and more.

 

Introducing The Camden Haven Excellence Awards for Volunteers

It is no surprise to anyone to see the work volunteers achieve in the Camden Haven.

With that said, along with our Business Excellence Awards, we have created our Volunteer Excellence Awards.

The Camden Haven Excellence Awards for Volunteers are based on three pillars; Role, Impact and Innovation.

 

Role

What role does the nominated volunteer undertake, and what work is achieved? What is special and unique about the work the nominee undertakes?

 

Impact

What does the nominee achieve through their volunteering?

 

Innovation

What other important aspects of the nominee’s voluntary work, such as obstacles overcome; innovation; initiative; dedication…the broader benefits of the volunteer role within the community.

 

Get Ready To Enter

The Camden Haven Excellence Awards are working to support all businesses and volunteers on entering in a way that is inclusive.

With that said, the winners will not be chosen on their ability to write the best application, but rather on the story they tell, their passion for excellence and community, whether it be written, typed or in video format.

We are all-inclusive…if you can communicate it, we welcome your submissions!

 

Background

As an initiative of the Camden Haven Chamber, we are conducting an awards program for businesses in the Camden Haven and those who provide products and services to customers in the Camden Haven

This will recognise excellence among businesses and also showcase businesses and operators who offer their customers and communities excellence in all that they do.

This will also showcase the talent and opportunities within the Camden Haven

Award Categories

Rather than have categories by industry, we have created something a little different for the Camden Haven Excellence Awards.

Within the Camden Haven we have eight townships – Lake Cathie, Bonny Hills, North Haven, Laurieton and surrounds, Dunbogan, Kew, Kendall and Comboyne.

We have also included what we call ‘Neighbour of The Camden Haven’ for businesses who provide products and services to customers who live in the Camden Haven.

For each of the nine categories, there will be awards for the two final winners.

 

 

 

From the finalists of both categories, we will be awarding the highest awards of Business Of the Camden Haven and a Volunteer Of The Camden Haven.
