iKew is a central hub showcasing local businesses, attractions, produce, art and crafts to locals, visitors and those in transit, not to mention home to the ‘Big Axe’ one of the ‘Big Things’.
iKew is staffed seven days a week 9:30am-3:30pm by local volunteers who are passionate about sharing the insights of our beautiful region.
We have been in discussion with Port-Macquarie Hastings Council on the maintenance issues of the building, as this is a PMHC asset.
We are working on funding for the maintenance from both local and state government.
As part of the focus on connection and collaboration with local businesses, the initiative of a monthly casual meet-up for members and locals began in November 2023.
Each month, we hold a coffee catch up in one of our local member’s café’s, the event is held on the third Tuesday of every month at 10am.
The Round Up is for members, guests, business owners and the community interested in hearing more and keeping up to date with all the work the Chamber is doing, to increase the visitor economy and showcase the hidden treasures in our region.
And the coffee is on us!
Following feedback from the community, the committee launched a digital magazine, the ‘Escape’ magazine.
The magazine focuses on all our eight regions, from Lake Cathie to Comboyne and everywhere in between.
It is for tourists, locals, family, friends, members and anyone who loves the mid-north coast of NSW..
We provide the reader with two ways to read the magazine, the first as a digital magazine flipping book and the second as a downloadable PDF.
Since our first edition in December 2023, we have more than doubled our readers.
The vision of the Camden Haven Chamber is to co9nnect and collaborate will local and federal bodies, to ensure we provide a clear and precise conduit between our members and the decision makers.
