For almost two decades the Kendall National Violin Competition has forged a major opportunity for artistic development for young violinists in Australia. Past finalists and winners have embarked on impressive careers and the Competition is proud to have encouraged these talented artists on their way.
This 2-day yoga festival has it all: a great community spirit, a fantastic range of yoga classes, music events, health education, community activities and a Natural Health & Living Expo. We will be back at Francis Retreat, after falling in love with the beautiful grounds, gigantic gum trees and great yoga spaces in 2017. There will be additional session spaces, more presenters and a greater variety of classes yet again!

Held the third Sunday of every month at Bruce Porter Reserve on the banks of the beautiful Camden Haven River at Laurieton, the Riverwalk Markets showcase local produce, gourmet foods, arts and craft, plants and bric-a-brac. Stall holders come from as far as Newcastle and the Hunter Valley such is the popularity of the markets. Pony rides and a jumping castle are regular features as well as live music.
The Beach to Brother Marathon is just one of a few distances offered on Sunday 30th September 2018. Also on offer is a , a Half-Marathon, a 10km Dash, a 5km Fun Run, and Team Relay Marathon. All of these distances are based on the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW, starting in various locations along the marathon route, but all finishing atop North Brother Mountain – one of the most scenic lookouts on the North Coast, located in Dooragan National Park, Laurieton. Both the individual and team relay marathon events start at Town Beach, Port Macquarie; the half-marathon starts at Lake Cathie Beach; the 10km dash starts at Camden Haven Beach, and the 5km dash starts at Laurieton Pool.
